About Tyler
PGA Professional Tyler Moore was born in Newport News, Virginia on September 28, 1995. Most of his childhood was spent in Yorktown, Virginia where he graduated from York High School excelling in academics soccer and golf. Tyler played on club teams through elementary school and later played for the high school team from eighth grade through my sophomore year.
When Tyler was a toddler, it was clear that he was fascinated with golf clubs. When he could hardly walk alone, everywhere he went, one of his grandfather’s clubs went with him. By age three he was on the golf course with “Papa.” And by age 6 or 7 he was offering to teach his grandmother how to play. Unfortunately, he was not very successful with his first “student.” In high school he joined the golf team making it to the Virginia State Championship twice. From early on he knew he wanted to work in the golf industry as a professional instructor and coach.
Tyler graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in PGA Golf Management in May of 2018. While at NC State he had the privilege to represent his school at two Carolinas Cups. He was also able to win NC State PGM’s biggest tournament of the year in 2018, the Pack Masters. He had variety of internship opportunities including Baltimore CC, Yeamans Hall Club (Golf Digest Top 100 Ranked course), CC of North Carolina, and Crooked Stick. After graduating, He worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Crooked Stick, another Golf Digest Top 100 Ranked golf course in America.
