The cooler temperatures this week serve as a reminder that Fall is on its way. There is still plenty of time to get a few more rounds in before temperatures really take a dive, so be sure to take advantage of the nice weather and enjoy the Fall colors as the leaves change. In my opinion, Fall is the best time of year to play golf.
As the days get shorter, we all know winter will be here before we know it. Even though you can watch golf on TV year round, it is important to take a break from the game and shut things down for a bit to give both your body and mind a rest and chance to recharge. Even the best players in the world take a few weeks off where they have zero connection to the game. The offseason is a great time to work on game by improving your golf specific fitness. Depending on your age and athletic development this can be done by enhancing your strength, speed, mobility or stability. Be sure to see a qualified golf fitness professional to help with your offseason fitness and goals.
