Kathryn O'Rourke
Assistant Director of Instruction, PGA

Kathryn grew up in the small town of Holmes, New York just about an hour or so north of New York City. Her father introduced her to the game of golf when she was 8 years old, and she was also a completive skier. Kathryn went onto receiving a scholarship to the University of Memphis to play Division 1 golf and played 4 years with the Tigers. Her senior year the team won their Conference USA Championship and went to Regionals in St. George Utah. After college, she went onto playing professional golf on the Suncoast Ladies Tour and the Futures Tour. After two seasons of living out of her car traveling from event to event she decided to pursue her passion for golf in another way. She worked on Dr. Bob Winters staff for his Golf Camp at Williams College and then shortly after became a Cast Member for Walt Disney World Resort. Kathryn spent the last 3 years as an apprentice at Palm Magnolia and Oak Trail golf courses, where they hosted a PGA Tour event the last 43 years. While in Florida, Kathryn earned her status as a Class A PGA Professional joining a small group of women who have achieved PGA status. She is very excited to join the staff here at The Learning Center and a full time teaching position.
