Josh joins the team at The Learning Center with 14 years of industry experience. He has been a PGA of America Class “A” Member since 2010. Josh took up golf in middle school after playing various youth sports and he immediately fell in love with the game and the opportunity to play something truly unique and individual.
Josh was born and raised in the small town of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, about forty minutes north of Baltimore. He started working at Bon Air Country Club when he was 13 years old and upon graduation from high school, he was accepted into the mechanical/nuclear engineering program at Penn State University. After a year in the program, Josh realized his true passion was rooted in the golf business and in 2010; he graduated with a degree in Professional Golf Management and a Business Management minor from Penn State.
Josh’s experience comes from working under some of the best golf professionals in the business at facilities like Baltimore Country Club, Oakmont Country Club and Bulle Rock. Most recently, Josh was employed at the Country Club of York where he was instrumental in growing their instructional program. He is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute and his desire for knowledge has motivated him to learn from the likes of Sean Foley, Mike Adams, Martin Chuck, Ted Sheftic, Eric Johnson, and Pat Coyner, along with many others.
He is very excited to be pursing his passion for teaching and coaching full time at The Learning Center.
